And Yes, I do actually know how to hiss . . .
For any of you that have ever doubted my catness this will prove I am as much cat as I can be. Yes, I have always know how to hiss, I just chose to not for the last 13 years. Finally I was given a reason to so strongly express my displeasure, one of my people accidentally stepped on my back leg. Fortunately no real damage was done, but when I say it hurt, IT REALLY HURT! So I hissed for the first time in my life and hopefully the last since this was a rather unfortunate incident and we both felt bad about it. So is you had any doubt, you can consider it erased. One the up side of things I got to reduce my morning insulin by half a unit since my numbers were a little on the lower end last weekend, not that I felt bad or anything. Otherwise life is pretty quiet, looking forward to the start of Pro-football season (it's not that I'm a fan, but the laptime I get out of it rocks). The peeps here at the house are all geared up talking about fantasy leagues, drafts and trash talk stuff. Well hope you all are looking forward to the cooler temps of fall, I know I am. Purrrrrr and love to you all! Peace out from the Pumkin Patch!

Sorry It's Been a While
I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I'm a busy guy. It takes a lot of my time just managing these people that live in my household along with napping, chasing Angry Bird, keeping the mousies in line and general grooming. I will say that last month was not without challenges and highlights. First of all, we found out that we had to buy a new glucose meter because the company that manufactures it was discontinuing not just my old meter, but everything that comes with it (the calibration solution, test strips and lancets). Then we had a shortage of my insulin, which is still and ongoing concern. I have been fortunate enough to maintain an adaquate supply with the dedicated assistance of Mandy at the Doc's office. I did have to help out a brother by another mother though. Mandy called late on a Thursday and asked if I could loan another dude some insulin since they couldn't get any until Tuesday and he was going to run out on Friday. I'm alway glad to help a brother. Heck, that could have been me in that position asking for a little helping hand. The only other alternative with the insulin is to change to human insulin (I'm on feline insulin right now) and it is much more expensive and my numbers have been so good that it would be a problem to change and readjust. Thanks for listening to the ups and downs in my life, I hope everyone elses life is going well. Peace out from Pumkinland!
